Robert Vallejo, our cherished son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, best known for his overwhelming generosity, sense of humor, and love for everything automotive, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, October 19, 2023. Robert was born in Lamesa, Texas to Ernesto and Paula (Garza) Vallejo on November 5, 1966. Robert graduated from Buena Vista High School, and shortly after, relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado where he dedicated many years to GFL Environmental.
Robert was a true car enthusiast, showing a great interest in classic cars, lowriders, and G-body style vehicles. His passion for cars was evident in his journey to successfully complete a fully customized 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass, with a theme of “Saginaw’s Finest”. Robert enjoyed participating in parades and car shows, where he received numerous awards ranging from best interior to best engine. Robert embraced the car scene and made many friends along the way. He was affiliated with Xclusive Car Club of Saginaw.
He is survived by his mother, Paula; and five siblings, Jesus Vallejo, Lionel (Sophie) Vallejo, Dalia (Marc) Serrato, Rene (Timothy) Black, and Albert Vallejo; nephews and nieces, Angelo Vallejo, Marc Serrato II, Jasmine Serrato, Stefani Serrato, Raquel Vallejo, Anthony Vallejo, Stefan Vallejo, Erik Vallejo, Sierra Vallejo, Tristan Vallejo, Michael Borrello, and Angelo Borrello; great-nephews and great-nieces, Emilio Vallejo, Christian Rodriguez, Marc Serrato III, Carter Sandusky, Jessica, Alize, Natalya, Xy’aire, and Aj. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernesto Vallejo.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 3 pm – 6pm, Sunday, October 29, 2023. Robert’s family would love to hear any and all memories about how he has touched your lives.
