Obituary of Elmer Vern Amy, Jr.

Elmer Vern Amy Jr., age 74, of Birch Run, passed away at Covenant HealthCare October 30, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family and listening to his favorite artist, Kid Rock-Born Free. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vicky Amy; three daughters, Dana Damsen (Jeffery Damen), Diana Amy (Craig Miller), and Sherri Amy (Tom Wilinski); grandchildren, Craig and Michael Amy, Blake and Joslynn Latunski, and Joshua and Marshal Damsen; and several loving friends and family. He was preceded in death by Elmer Amy Sr. and Irene Amy, Beatrice Kellogg, Morse Duby, and Doug Amy.

He lived life to the fullest and never let his disability take control. He always told his daughters to stand up for themselves, and never take anyone’s shit.
