Obituary of Douglas Allen Harris

Douglas Allen Harris, age 64, of Burton and Bay City, Michigan, gained his wings on Monday, October 30, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.  Doug was born in Tampa, Florida to Shirley and Charles Harris on July 11, 1959.  He was a resident of Burton most of his life.  He married Debra Pace in November of 1979, and she preceded him in death on August 5, 2013.  Doug enjoyed NASCAR, watching old cowboy shows, his days in the Philippines, being outdoors hanging out by the water, & spending time with his family & friends.  He was employed with Averill Recycling for many years, and then transferred to United Plastics until his retirement. 

Surviving are his mother, Shirley Harris of Bay City; wife, Ailyn Cardel Harris & step-daughter Guia of the  Philippines; daughter, Jessica & husband Orlando Robles of San Antonio, Tx; brother, Greg & wife Judy Harris of Morgantown, Ky; sisters,Theresa Kotewa of Bay City, Vickie & husband Rob DePrekel of Bay City MI, Tracie Shauger & (Steve Schumacher) of Grand Blanc, and Stacie Harris & (Bob Dunsmore) of Flushing, MI; grandchildren, Elijah & Elora Robles of San Antonio, Tx; and many nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Harris Sr.; step-mother, Jean Harris; & brother, Charles Harris Jr.  A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date. To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
