Monnielynn Jacobs (VanHaaren) passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the age of 59. She was born on December 13, 1963 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Rose VanHaaren (Samp) & Frederick VanHaaren.
She enjoyed coloring, shopping, bird watching, long drives, classic rock, and cherished visits with her grandbabies. She enjoyed her loyal and faithful companion, her cat “Simba”. She was an incredible cook.
During her working years, she carried many titles such as: restaurant manager, customer service representative, home health aide, and homemaker. She earned her Medical Administrative Assisting diploma in May of 2020.
She is survived by her 5 children, Tiffany L. VanHaaren, Cody (Tiffany R.) VanHaaren, Cassandra Jacobs (Steven), Mark Jacobs, Chloe Jacobs (Chandler); siblings, Fred (Lisa) VanHaaren, Jay (Cindy) VanHaaren, Carol (Don) Kazen & Annette (Steve) Kopec; grandchildren Chase, Preston, Tyler, Selena, Cashton, Amelia, Sophia, Carson, Josh, Jack, and Chazz; many nieces and nephews; and her “bestie”, Penny. She was predeceased by her dear friends, Beth and Paul.
Per Monnie’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
