Obituary of Irene Marie Sayen

Irene M. Sayen of Sandusky, MI formerly of Bay City, MI, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 3, 2023.

She was born in Bay City Michigan on May 26, 1952, to the late Donald “Buzzy” Sayen and Vivian A. (Duhaime) Sayen.

Rene was funny and kind.  She loved her crossword puzzles, music, and enjoyed time with her family.

Rene leaves behind her twins, Jamie Edwards (Jason Brachman) of Charleston, SC, and Jessica Edwards of Warren RI; as well as grand-daughter, Gaea Irene; and a very special niece, Nikki Lutes of Sandusky, MI. She will be missed by her four brothers and two sisters, Mike Sayen (Susan Osborne) of Gladwin MI, Pat Sayen (Shelley) of Bay City MI, Matt Sayen of Evans CO, Dennis Sayen of Bay City MI, Margaret “Peggy” Ferris of Sandusky MI, and Kris Sayen of Evans, CO.  Rene will also be remembered by several nieces and nephews. Rene was predeceased by two sisters, Toni Sayen and Kelly Sayen.
