Obituary of Mary Ida Byerley

Mary Ida Byerley, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.  She was 87.  Mary was born February 15, 1936, in Saginaw, daughter of the late Wayne and Lucile (Kelly) Donovan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1954.  She was married on January 16, 1965, to her husband of fifty-three years, John L. Byerley Jr, whom she loved dearly. 

Mary is survived by her daughters, Mona (Mark) Cramer, Marcia (Bob) Becker, Malinda (John) Allen, Shawn Hatch and Rebecca Bowman; son, Mark Bohl; step-sons, Mark Wolf and Jeff (Elaine) Wolf; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, all whom she loved deeply; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John L Byerley Jr.; in-laws, John and Marion Byerley; and great-grandson, Robert Allen Welch III.  Honoring Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
