Hubert L. Weidman

Hubert L. Weidman (Bert, Hub), passed away at the age of 92, after a brief illness on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Hubert was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 29, 1931, to the late Milo Weidman and Mary Kaufman Weidman.

He served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army and spent many years active in veteran services. He served as post commander of VFW Post #1566 and Service Officer at the Saginaw County Vveterans Trust Fund. One of his special projects was the Saginaw County Veterans Memorial Plaza at Hoyt Park in Saginaw.  Over the years he managed different Dry Cleaners around the Saginaw, Flint, and Detroit areas. He also loved woodworking, reading, and playing cards.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gabrielle Weidman (Taylor; son, Micheal Weidman; half-son, Robert Mellon; brothers, Willard and Joe Weidman. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Weidman; son, Patrick (Karin) Weidman; half-son, Roy (Song-Hui) Mellon; grandchildren, David, Amanda, Kelly, Christopher, Margaret, and Alexandra; his partner of the last 20 years, Valerie Smith; and many more great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

At Hubert´s request, there will be no services will be held.
