Obituary of Leonard Eugene Schaeding, Sr.

Leonard "Len" Eugene Schaeding Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away on December 25, 2023, at the age of 87.

Len was born October 15, 1936 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Louis and Elizabeth (Dashkovitz) Schaeding.  He graduated from Arthur Hill Trade School.

Len worked construction most of his life and was a partner in CCI Construction, Inc. with his son Len Jr. and Dave Nelson. He enjoyed working side by side with his son for over 30 years. 

He married Carol Joy Kirby Schaeding on July 27, 1957.  Together they enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and just being together.  Their favorite song that describes them is "She and I" by Alabama.

Len is survived by his wife Carol; children, Leonard (Colleen) Schaeding and Holly (John) Wunderle; grandchildren, Josh (Briget) Schaeding, Chad (Amber) Schaeding, Stephanie (Brandon) Bassham, Spencer (Mandee) Wunderle, Jessica (RJ) Velasco, and Hunter Wunderle; great-grandchildren, Hudson, Carter, Margaret, Ainsley, Lucas, Lincoln, Kensie, Remy, Fxx, Grayson, Harley, Elaina and Raul "Roo".

In lieu of flowers, those planning and expression of sympathy are asked to consider Memorial Contributions to Hospital Hospitality House of Saginaw, Inc.
