Obituary of Connie Jane Kapff

Connie Jane Kapff, 73, of Beaverton, went to her heavenly home surrounded by family on December 27, 2023.
Connie was born in Midland, Michigan on April 8, 1950, to the late Arthur Jr and Stella Jane (Winn) Munger. Connie met the love of her life, Doug, when Connie was only 8 years old and at that time, he told her he was going to marry her. 10 years later he made good on his promise when Connie and Doug were wed on February 3, 1968, at the Church of Daniel’s Band with her father as the officiant. Connie and Doug were together for 55 years and built a beautiful life and family, always at each other’s side.
Connie was a graduate of Beaverton High School. Connie’s career paths varied from Camp Cook to Nursing Home Activities Director, but always keeping with the same theme of her passion for taking care of people and watching out for others. Connie was also a skilled baker who created beautiful cakes for hundreds of people that were often the talk of the party.
Connie’s was blessed with a gift for music; she was a talented vocalist singing gospel music for over 40 years. She used her talents to spread the word of God, one of the greatest joys in her life. She spent years traveling to area churches as well as great distances with her longest standing group the Gospel Harmonies. She was a member of other gospel groups over the years and won a Golden Eagle Award for her work in the Gospel community.
Connie will be greatly missed by her husband Doug. She is survived by her two children and their partners Kim and Tab Faber, and Jesse and Amanda Kapff. Eight grandchildren Clinton and Justine Faber, Devon and Kim Bagrosky, Kayla and Brett Stryker, Tabitha Faber, Reiss Faber, Garrett Kapff, Tylar Kapff, Maxwell and Valerie Faber along with their two children Luna and Freddy. She is also survived by dear friends from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Michigan. In addition to her parents Connie was preceded in death by her brothers Tom and Ron.
Family and friends are welcome to attend services and share memories at a celebration of life that will take place on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 3pm at the Church of Daniel’s Band, 4835 Bard Rd, Beaverton, MI.
