Milton Dale Draves, age 98 of Midland, Michigan passed peacefully on January 4, 2024.  He was born on June 4, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan, to August and Clara Draves. Milton served as an infantry man in the Pacific Theater in WW II. After being honorably discharged, he was employed by the Dow Chemical Company and General Motors. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed watching baseball and horse races.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Laurie Diane Sheets (Shane) of the U.P. of Michigan; grandsons, Nicholas (Lisa) Sheets of Florida, Lucas Sheets, Mattew Draves (Felicia) of Midland, Michigan; granddaughter, Emily Draves; great-grandsons, Dylan Draves and Noah Sheets; a great-granddaughter, Laurie Rose Sheets; along with many nieces and nephews of Midland. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark David Draves of Midland, Michigan.

 

He will be buried alongside his son Mark Draves at Great Lakes National Cemetery, in Holly, Michigan. A Memorial Services will be held at a later date.  To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
