Obituary of Nadine Mae Myers

Please share a memory of Nadine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mrs. Nadine Myers, age 97, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024. Nadine was born in Saginaw on March 1, 1926, to the late George and Cassie Wilson.  She was a 1944 graduate of Arthur Hill High School.  Nadine married Gene Myers on March 10, 1944, while he was briefly stationed in Arizona prior to being shipped overseas during WWII.  The two were married for over 70 years. Together, they had two sons, James A. Myers and G. Daniel Myers, and cherished their farm, Eco Acres, in Hemlock, Michigan, for five decades.

While there, they raised and showed Paso Fino horses, even putting on a horse show in Fashion Square Mall to show off the Paso’s unique gait.  Nadine had a true love of animals.  Over the years, she enjoyed all the wildlife on the farm, and adopted numerous animals - no dog was ever as spoiled as a dog that belonged to Nadine. During her lifetime, Nadine was an entrepreneur as a hairdresser and small business owner all the while maintaining the self-proclaimed title of Domestic Engineer.  Nadine had a quick wit, and she would tell you she was a founding member of the CRS (Can’t Remember Sh#!) Club.

She is deeply missed by G. Dan (Jeanette) Myers of Fort Myers, Florida, and Virginia Myers of Burt.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, James A. (Crystal) Myers, Michael (Jill) Myers, and Nicole Lindeboom.  Nadine’s loss is felt by eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition, her brother Tim (Carol) Wilson misses her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Myers, son, James Myers, as well as six of her seven siblings: Corrine Loth, Tommy Wilson, Judy Peaslee, Bob Wilson, Gail Jozwiak, and Linda Hardger. A private family interment has been held at Chapel Hill Mausoleum in Freeland, Michigan.  To sign online guestbook, visit, www.cremationsocietymidmi.com  Arrangements made with the Cremation Society of Mid Michigan.
