Obituary of Dennis Lawler

Dennis Michael Lawler, age 86, of Dunedin, Florida died on November 29, 2023.

Denny was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Thomas H. and Lucile (Millsom) Lawler on July 21, 1937. He graduated from Saginaw High School in 1955. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 2 years. He received his B.A. from Saginaw Valley College in 1971 and graduated from Detroit College of Law, J.D. in 1974.  He has practiced law in Florida since 1977.

Denny is survived by his sisters, Patricia Steele of Michigan and Susan Downing of Maryland. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; Greg Downing, Anne Downing, Chris Downing, Mark Downing, Jane Downing Knops, Lani Russell, Linda Sweeney, Lisa Adrian, Tom Lawler, Mary Heinz, and Barbara Gainforth; and sister-in-law, Patricia Lawler.  He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, John (Jack) Lawler; nephew, Michael Downing; and great-nephew, Lucas Gainforth.

A Funeral Liturgy for Denny will be celebrated on January 24, 2024 at 10 am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, St. Stanislaus Church in Bay City, Michigan.  Burial will be in Demorest Cemetery in Akron, Michigan.    To sign online guestbook, visit www.cremationsocietymidmi.com
