Harold D. Webb, endeared father, grandfather, friend. Passed away January 18, 2024, at the age of 92 years. Harold was born on June 25, 1931, In Saginaw Michigan. To the late Earl L. and Bertha M. (Schuette) Webb.
He graduated from Saginaw High School in 1949. Harold then went to work for S.S. Kresge Co. and became floor manager.
In December 1951, Harold became one of Jehovah’s witnesses at his baptism. He attended the Saginaw West Kingdom Hall, and served as a full time minister, further attending and assisting many other congregations throughout the years.
Harold married his loyal and loving lifetime companion in July 1953, Virginia A. (Ostermann) Webb. They spent a grand and memorable life together, over 70 yrs. Together they attended many Bible conventions their first one being in July 1953 at New York Yankee stadium. They enjoyed a short time living in Arizona. When they returned to Saginaw, he started with Dow Chemical Co. as a catalyst tech till his retirement in 1993.
Harold liked to bike, bowl, jog, take walks, play tennis, with family and friends and spent many hours listening and watching the Tigers. And camping was a regular family tradition many times a year, especially being fond of Young State Park. He was a fine carpenter; he remodeled his homes as well helped others with theirs and also assisted with 6 local Kingdom Halls.
Harold was a loyal, loving husband and father. And to many he was a self-sacrificing man of integrity. These qualities were shown in his personal life, as well as, together with his wife helping many in the community both materially, physically and especially spiritually. Together they assisted many elderly and infirmed.
Most importantly, they spent extended hours assisting many families to know the truths set forth in the Bible and sharing with them the hope for the marvelous future, as promised in Revelation 21: 4 & 5 which says --- 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” they loyally and faithfully embraced this hope together.
Harold cared diligently and lovingly for his wife, Virginia through all her sickness and challenges. They were together their last year in the same care facility. Compassionately concerned with her right up to her passing, just a few weeks ago, November 28, 2023.
He leaves to share his legacy, a daughter, Deborah (David) Clayton; one grandson, Zachary (Brooke) Clayton; two granddaughters, Sarah Delagarza and Candace (Jeffrey) Opelewski; three grandchildren; and one sister, Carol (Gerald) Beadle. He was predeceased by an infant sister, Colleen Webb, in1927; and by his brother Earl, and his wife Theresa (Derosier) Webb.
