Obituary of Brenda Ann Fields

Brenda A. Launstein Fields of Bay City Michigan,  unexpectedly left her earthly home on January 21, 2024 at the age of 66. She was born on July 29, 1957 to the late Russel and Nancy (McCauley) Launstein of Saginaw.

Brenda had many talents but among her best was spending much of her life taking care of others. Her biggest love was her family. She was happiest spending time with them in the summer in the pool and in the winter, preparing for Christmas. Most often decorating more than one tree, baking and decorating cookies was always an event for the whole family to enjoy together. This last Christmas was truly one of her happiest. Brenda’s success in life was not only her family but her ability to make strangers feel like friends, and her friends feel like family. She will never be forgotten by anyone who met her. She was an active plasma doner and a recent Covenant Healthcare retiree.

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Fields; her son, Jashua (Meredith) Fields; grandchildren, Gabrielle King, Raymond (Arianna) Novak, Christian Novak and Vanessa Cogan; great-grandchildren, Jaela Moten, Jeremiah Pulliam, Janyla and Johnnie Hascall and Xiovana Novak; her siblings, Deborah Soule, David (Dawn) Launstein, Steven Launstein, and Sandy (Heath) Sherman; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was welcomed to heaven by her brothers, Rusty and Brian Launstein; and her niece, Stephanie Mitchell.

Per Brenda’s final wishes, no funeral services will be held. Instead, an intimate luncheon will be held for family and a Celebration of Life to follow on February 10, 2024 from 3-6pm, at the Munger Elementary School, 1625 S. Finn Rd., Munger Michigan.
