Obituary of Barbara Jean Stuart

Barbara "Barb” or “Barbie" J. Stuart of Sanford, Michigan was called to be with the Lord February 7, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family at home. Barbie was born April 15,1959 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late James Stephens and Constance (Johnston) Lukaszewski. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, and recently found a talent in painting. She put herself through nursing school as a young single mother and worked as an LPN until retirement. She met the love of her life later in life and they were wed September 10, 2005.

Barbie is survived by her loving husband, Bernie Stuart of Sanford, MI; her step—mother, Janet Stephens of Commerce Twp, MI; her children, Bryan (Tea) Marsden of Pensacola, FL and Christina (Christopher) Southwell of Prudenville, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Bryan, Brendan, Nicholas, Brooke, Preston, David and Macen; sisters, Theresa (Dominic) Ciaravino, Dawn (Jim) Combs, Carol (Dave) Gerometta, Ellen Early, Suzanne Coesfeld, and Pamela West; and brothers, Gary Early, Adam (Stephanie) West, and Paul (Melissa) West; sisters-in-law, Bobbie (Roy) Guild and Shari Clauss; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-parents James Stephens, Constance (Johnston) Lukaszewski, Leonard Lukaszewski and Ronald West; her sister, Faye (Stephens) Thompson; brothers, James Stephens, James Early and Steve West.
