John Joseph VanSickle, a devoted husband, father, and friend, peacefully departed this world on February 9, 2024, at his home in Alger, Michigan. Born on July 18, 1962, in Pontiac, Michigan, John’s life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and cherished memories.
John spent over two decades in Holly, Michigan, where he built a life filled with meaningful connections. His hands, calloused from years of hard work, were skilled in home renovation—a craft he pursued with passion and dedication. John’s craftsmanship graced countless homes, leaving a lasting legacy in the community.
His love for the outdoors was boundless. Whether stalking deer through the dense forests or casting his fishing line into tranquil lakes, John found solace in nature’s embrace. The crackling campfire, star-studded nights, and the thrill of a successful hunt were moments etched in his heart.
On July 22, 2000, John married his soulmate, Tami Sue James. Their union was a testament to enduring love, laughter, and shared dreams. Tami’s passing in 2006 left an ache that time could not heal, but her spirit remained a guiding light for John.
As a father, John was unwavering in his support for his sons, Korey and Dillon. imparting life lessons through wins and losses. His grandchildren, Vincent and Noah.
John’s survived in death by siblings—James, Robert, Joseph, Mary, Judy, Wendy, Rosa, and Sara
A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held from 1 pm - 5 pm, March 23, 2024 at 3951 Bentwood Cir W, White Lake, MI 48383, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory..
