Delphine Rahl

August 29, 1933 - February 20,2024

Delphine C. Rahl (Gies), age 90 of Turner, passed away at her home on February 20,2024.

Delphine was born August 29, 1933 in Saginaw to Jacob and Martha (Matuzak) Gies and grew up in Omer.  She married James Rahl and has been a resident of Turner since 1953.  They had two children, Teri and Jerry.  Delphine and Jim worked for his brother Bill at Bill’s Super Market for 6 years, then they owned and operated Jim’s Super Market in Turner for 10 years.  Delphine also worked at Crew Products in AuGres for 6 years.  She loved her family and friends, working in her yard, having lots of plants and flowers, doing beautiful embroidery and making quilts.

She leaves behind daughter, Teri Sue Norton (Terry Lee) of Waconia, MN; son, Jerry Rahl (Penny) of Twining; grandchildren, Audra Norton, Shawn (Sarah) Norton, Kenneth (Theresa) Killingbeck, Heather (Daniel) Sendo and Staci (Zack) Shellenbarger; great-grandchildren Lily, Rose, Violet, and Azalea Norton, Lucas, Nathaniel, and Leah Sendo, Brady Killingbeck, and Max and Charlotte Goodrich. She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Betty; her parents, and her husband of 53 years Jim.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
