Obituary of Gerald Arthur Simpson

Gerald “Jerry” Arthur Simpson, age 85, died February 21, 2024, at MediLodge of Midland, Michigan. Per his wishes there will be no public service, however, a private family celebration of life will be held later this year.

Jerry was born in Bay County, Michigan, to the late Clarence Simpson and Mildred Cope. He had a long career in the farming industry and spent three years serving in the U.S. military.

He was married to his loving wife, Joyce, for 61 years, and was involved in the lives of all his three children and four grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Joyce; sons, Dennis Simpson, Steve (Katie) Simpson, Tim (Patti) Simpson; grandchildren, Olivia, Orla, Charlie, and Abby Simpson; brother, Harry Simpson; and sister, Linda Ashley. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Walter Simpson; and sister, Janet Donghue.
