Janet (Young) Heavenrich of Saginaw passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday evening, March 5, 2024, at the age of 74 years.
She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Harriett “Jean” (Fraser) Young. A 1967 graduate of T.L. Handy High School, Janet was known for her vibrant spirit and engaging personality. She dedicated many years to the well-being of children, serving as a crossing guard, cafeteria staff member, and a noon hour supervisor in local schools. Her zest for life and knack for creating laughter left a lasting impression on everyone she met. 

Janet is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Max Heavenrich; her brothers, Donald (and wife Karen) Young, Terrance (Terry) Young and partner Alicia Guthrie; her sisters, Shelby Buda, and Darlene (Taffy) (and husband Sam) Rosenquist; her sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Young and Claire Young; her daughters, Shawn (and husband Todd) Bamberg, Constance Heavenrich, and Ginger (and husband Jason) Grover; her grandchildren, Tyler Bamberg, Chase Korting, Kayla (and husband Tanner) Woodworth, and Claire Korting; and her great-grandchildren, Hayden, Raelynn, and Baby Bean. She was predeceased by her brothers, Willard (Bill) Young and Francis (Jack) Young, and her niece, Michelle (Young) Scott.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be hosted by the family this summer, with details to be determined.
