Obituary of Evelyn Irene Keller
Please share a memory of Evelyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Evelyn Keller, born September 21, 1953, affectionately known as Evie by family, or Momma K by those she adopted along the way: a vibrant, compassionate woman of strength and humor, departed from this world on March 26, 2024. She left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Evelyn touched more lives than anyone could comprehend with her independent spirit and love for life.
Evelyn is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Lauren Keller, her adoring daughter, Jamaica Keller and her caring sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Parris Geiser, as well as many nieces, nephews, and adopted (in spirit) children. She was predeceased by her mother, Laretta Adema, her father, Sidney Adema, her brother, David Adema and her sister, Beverly Adema. The family bonds of love and respect continue even beyond the veil, creating a legacy of unity and care.
Her talents were broad and bountiful, and her compassion and love were offered without hesitation. Evelyn was a beacon of strength and independence, a woman of wit and humor. Her passion for art was infectious, and will live on in many. She could see beauty in the mondain, and encouraged others to do the same. Her life was a testament to the belief that laughter and love can conquer hardship. She often shared her life's motto: "If you can't laugh at it, you should not have done it." Living by this code, Evelyn's existence was a dazzling array of laughter-filled moments.
Evelyn's radiant presence impacted hundreds of lives, her positive influence and encouragement leaving an indelible imprint on each person she encountered. The depth of her compassion and the breadth of her love were evident in every life she touched, painting a picture of a life well-lived and a woman well-loved.
As we commemorate Evelyn's life and mourn her passing, we find solace in the rich legacy of unforgettable moments, lasting love, and enduring wisdom she leaves behind. Her laughter will echo in our hearts, and her lessons will guide us along our paths. Evelyn Keller will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
