Obituary of Lloyd Charles Anderson

Lloyd Anderson passed away on April 23, 2024 at the age of 93. He was born April 8, 1931 in Kawkawlin Michigan to the late Ted and Edna (Mosher) Anderson. Lloyd retired from the Dow Chemical Company at age 58. He was a skilled carpenter, enjoyed building projects, designing beautiful exterior landscaping, travel, and researching his ancestry. At Bay City Central he met his future wife, the late Rita Anderson, whom he married on October 14, 1950 in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Throughout their marriage together they spent many years traveling to and from their Michigan and Florida homes. They enjoyed long walks on the Florida beaches and going to the mall on the weekends. Lloyds final years were spent at New Hope Bay in Bay City Michigan. The family will be eternally grateful for the kind, compassionate care provided by the staff at New Hope Bay.

He is survived by his four children, Thomas Anderson, Susan Anderson, Cheryl (Scott) Wilhelm, and Sandra (Mark) Gwizdala; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. Lloyd was predeceased by his sisters, Ruth (Frank) Batschke and Ellen (Cliff) Jones; brother, Merle (Thelma) Anderson; and niece, Nancy Anderson. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
