Obituary of Robert Fred Germain III

Robert (Bob) Fred Germain III, age 42, of Vassar, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at home, with his family by his side, after a long battle with cancer.  Bob was born on November 8, 1981 to the late Robert Germain II and Tracy Halcro (Klopf). He graduated from Vassar High School in 2001 and was employed for many years at Kremin Inc. in Frankenmuth. He married Nicole (Zwerk) Hecht on March 8, 2019. Bob took pride in his career, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips up north to the casino, and spending time in his garage and with his family and friends. He was also an avid sports fan, especially for the Michigan Wolverines, Lions, and Tigers.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Mayville.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nicole; step-children, Kylie (fiance Devin) Zwerk and Bryce Hecht; father, (step) Edward D. Halcro; sisters, Amanda Germain and Tami (Robert) Trea; aunts, Kim (Doug) Donnelly and Jackie (Jeff) Wirth; grandma, Nancy Klopf; cousins, Brandon, Brittany, and Ryan; close friend, Gary Hiltz; mother-in-law, Sharon (Rick) Patton; sisters-in-law, Rachel Zwerk and Krystal Reinhardt; and many other cherished family members and friends.  Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Caroline; grandparents, Robert and Joyce Klopf and Robert I and Darlene Germain.

 

 A private memorial service will be planned at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
