Gerald, a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away from a brief illness on May 25, 2024.  Gerald Edward Leinberger was born November 3, 1946, in Bay City Michigan, Gerald loved everything Christmas, he was big fan of the Detroit tigers, and enjoyed visiting Mackinaw.

 

Gerald is survived by his wife of 42 years, MaryJane (Lukowski) Leinberger; his four children, Gerald (Gina) Leinberger, Tina (Don) Edwards, David Leinberger, and Jeremy (Rachel) Whittaker; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Lynch; and sisters-in-law, Cathy Evans and Elizabeth Lukowski. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Edna Leinberger; two brothers, Lewis and John; and two sisters, Sharon and Connie.

 

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
