Obituary of Donna Lee Ramsay

Donna Lee Ramsay (LaDuke), age 76, passed away on June 1, 2024, at her home, a place she called her own for over fifty years. Born in Flint, Michigan on December 17, 1947, to the late Wilfred and Leona LaDuke, Donna's life was a testament to the profound love, infectious laughter, and deep, unbreakable bond she shared with her family and friends.

Donna's love for the outdoors was evident in every aspect of her life. She found joy in simple pleasures like taking country drives, walking barefoot, tending to her yard, building fires, and swinging in her beloved tree. Her passion for nature extended to adventures at For-Mar, where she could often be found catching frogs or climbing trees, creating cherished memories with her loved ones.

However, Donna's greatest source of happiness was found in the presence of her grandchildren. With endless love and devotion, she showered them affectionately, whether by cooking too much food at family gatherings or engaging in playful activities. Donna's presence brought warmth and laughter to every moment.

Donna's circle of love extended far beyond her immediate family. She cultivated deep bonds with her neighbors, transforming acquaintances into lifelong friends. Among them, the Ballges held a special place in her heart, becoming an integral part of her extended family. 

Donna will be deeply missed by her children, Brent (Keely) Ramsay and Tammara (Scott) Copeland, and her grandchildren, Alissa, Hannah, Brooklyn, Trinity, Coleman, Raegan, Elliott, and Leo. She is also survived by her siblings, Howard, Willard, and Billy LaDuke, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. She is now reunited with her parents, beloved husband, Harlan Ramsay, cherished son, Kirk Ramsay, and siblings, Marvin LaDuke and Wanda Love.

In loving memory of Donna's life, a graveside service will be held at St. John's Cemetery on Saturday, June 15, 2024, starting at 11 a.m. The cemetery is located at the corner of Richfield and Oak Rd in Davison, MI 48423.  Father Andrew Czajkowski will officiate. The family requests that any memorial gifts, food, or flowers be sent to Donna's home at 2058 Howe Rd. Burton, MI 48519, where you are invited to a Celebration of Life that will follow the service at 1 p.m..
