Obituary of Carol Jean Manary

Carol Manary, age 76, of Midland, Michigan passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on June 11, 2024, at Toni and Trish House.

Carol was born February 29, 1948 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Asa Spencer Jr. and Marjorie (Brewster) Spencer. Carol graduated from Freeland High in 1966. She married her best friend and the love of her life Donald Manary on June 4, 1966 in Freeland, Michigan and they enjoyed 57 wonderful years together.

Carol enjoyed crafting, sewing, playing bingo, traveling, and visiting with family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and brought joy to many. Her love and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Carol worked for The Bay City Public Schools where she was known by many as “Mom” until she retired in 2010.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Stacie (George) Stanolis of Pinconning; four grandchildren, Daniel Manary, Kenneth Manary, Emily Manary, and Logan LeBeau; three great grandchildren; brother, Phillip (Deb) Spencer of Wisconsin; half-brother, Joe Spencer; half-sister, Kris Spencer; and many special nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Manary just over a month ago; her son, Dennis Manary; and her brother, Butch Spencer.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service per her request. Burial will take place at Midland City Cemetery.
