Please share a memory of Richard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Richard “Dick” G. Petrucha of Au Gres, Michigan passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at the age of 86.

He was born on February 22, 1938, in Flint, MI. Dick grew up in Swartz Creek and was a volunteer firefighter for 25 years with the Swartz Creek Fire Department. Dick was an Electrician for 50 plus years and a Master Pig Roast Chef in high demand for 40 years. He moved to Chesaning, Mi for many years before retiring in Au Gres, Michigan.

Dick enjoyed spending time with family, friends and meeting new people. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone. Dick was an avid hunter, fisherman, cook and unofficial handyman. He really enjoyed spending time fishing with his family and his annual trips to the Upper Peninsula to hunt with his family. Dick will be remembered for the way he welcomed people into his life and making them part of his family.

Dick is survived by his wife, Peggy Petrucha; his children, Rick (Annette), Russ (Nancy), Robin, Rene, Amy, and the unofficial adoptees, Chris and Sarah McCumber. Dick had 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Geraldine (Joe), Linda and John (Ginger); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dick was predeceased by his son, Jeff; his grandson, Terry; and his brother, Ed. Who we are sure was waiting for him.
