Obituary of Cheryl Lee Kauffman

Cheryl Lee Kauffman, age 64, of Bay City, Michigan passed away on July 26, 2024 at Hampton Nursing and Rehab.   She was born on October 9, 1959 to the late Milton and Louise (Teatro) Kauffman in Farmington, Michigan.

She is survived by her sister, Debra Dishong; her nephew, James F. (Janet) Penn, Jr.; her nieces, Dawn (Thomas) Baumgartner and Wendy (Anthony) Short ; several great-nieces and nephews, and special friend, Rose Markle.  She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Sharon Penn; brother-in-law, James F. Penn, Sr.; niece, Gloria Bethune; her fiance, Tom Swaton; and her dear Yorkie, Candy.

Cheryl came to live with her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and James F. Penn, Sr., in her early years and became like a sister to Gloria and Jim. She was a beloved caretaker of her great-nieces and nephews. She enjoyed camping and crafting.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held graveside at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Floral Gardens Cemetery, 2215 Cass Avenue Rd, Bay City, MI 48708.
