Obituary of Elizabeth Jean Cranson

Elizabeth Jean Cranson, known lovingly as Betty, passed away on July 28, 2024, in Owosso, Michigan, at the age of 85. She was born on February 11, 1939, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Betty was the daughter of the late Mary and Leo (Samuel) Bond. Betty dedicated her life to the field of nursing, working across Florida, Michigan, and Indiana. Throughout her illustrious career, the lives of countless patients were touched  with her care and compassion.

 She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Bruce) Mueller of Angola, IN, and Diane (Scott) Zuckschwerdt of Owosso, MI; and her sister, Sandra Moore of Coco Beach, FL. Betty's legacy continues through her eight grandchildren, Ashley Bercaw, Michael Bercaw, Holly Mueller, Drew Mueller, Jake Zuckschwerdt, Josh Zuckschwerdt, Aubrey Linn, and Trent Linn; and two great-grandchildren, who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ellen (Lahrke) Linn; sister, Judy Jenson; and brother, Samuel Bond.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Betty's remarkable life and contributions. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Shiawassee County Humane Society, in Owosso, MI.
