Obituary of Lavern Alton Wheeler

Lavern A. Wheeler, age 91, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away on October 8, 2024.  He was born December 31,1932 to the late Ethel and Sheldon Wheeler. He was a lifetime auto mechanic, working at several dealerships, and owning his own service station. He loved to deer hunt and was very successful. Lavern also enjoyed woodworking. He had recently taken up bicycling and went to an e-bike, riding over 800 miles last year.

He is survived by his sons, Alton (Susan) of Sanford MI and Paul (Kendal) of Midland Texas; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Marlene; daughters, June and Betty; and Betty's husband, Wayne Hulse.
