Obituary of Larry Lee Walters
Please share a memory of Larry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Larry Walters, of Sanford, Michigan, born February 5, 1947, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024. He is survived by his children, Nevada Walters and Sierra Walters, who love him deeply and will miss him profoundly, as well as his brother, Dan Milkowski. He was recently preceded in death by his beloved sister, Mardy Ann Scott.
Throughout his life, Larry truly embodied a spirit of adventure and creativity. Never one to sit idle, he was always working on a new project. His love for animals was equally boundless, whether it was the companionship of his cherished cats and dogs, or the occasional raccoon visitor.
In his later years, he re-settled in Sanford, where you can find him working at the marina when the waters used to flow through the lake, a scene that brought him peace. Larry had a deep connection with the water and wished for his ashes to be released near it, as it was always where he felt most at home.
With a sharp wit and sense of humor that brightened every room, he had a gift for making others laugh and a warmth that we will carry with us always. Larry will be remembered as a loving father, a cherished friend, and a man who embraced life to its fullest. His memory will be deeply cherished by all who knew him.
