Hilda passed away November 14, 2024.  She was born on September 1, 1954, in Brownsville, Texas to the late Isabel and Santiago Garza. Hilda worked at the City of Saginaw Water and Sewer Department, where she retired after 25 years to spend time with her husband and family.

Hilda enjoyed shopping, jewelry making, cooking, and spending time with her family. 

Hilda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jose Martinez. Her children: Irene, Jose (Sonia), Isabel (Henry), Andres (Alyssa), and Elosia. Her grandchildren: Eugene, Little Hilda, Santiago, Nina, Destina, Jose, and Roland. Also her special grandog Lady. Her great grandchildren: Ezekial, Jamari, Jasmine, James, Mathias, Kaymyrah, Santiago Jr, Journey, Kane, and Jordan. A brother Jim (Daisy), Genovava (Rafael), and Jose Angel, and other siblings.

Hilda was preceded by her brothers: Adan, Alfredo, Guadalupe, and David; one sister: Rosa. 

Hilda touched many people, but she shared a special friendship with Barbara Ciszewski, Peggy S, and our special cousin Norma. 

Final arrangements have not been finalized and will be released later.
