Leonard Glen Cole unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born on November 12, 1941, to Glen and Helen (Harmon) Cole of Prescott, MI.
Leonard was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Diane (Warner) Cole in 1997; his parents Glen and Helen (Harmon) Cole of Prescott, MI; sister Wilma (Cole) Augustyniak and brother-in-law Harold Augustyniak of Kawkawlin, MI; stepdaughter Kelly Jo May of Alpena, MI; sister-in-law Diane Boyton of Bay City, MI.
Survived by his loving wife, Sharoyn (May) Cole of 18 years; sister Judy (Cole) Fahrney of Bay City, MI; Robert (Margaret) Goulette, Bay City, MI and Albert “Buddy” Goulette of Bay City, MI.
Lovingly remembered by his children; Shelley (Cole) Federspiel of Linwood, MI; Deborah (Cole) and Chris Boensch of Au Gres, MI; Dennis and Michele Cole of Portage, MI; Denise (Cole) VanWert of Bay City, MI; his step-children Carrie (May) and Allen Anderson of Pinckney, MI; Lori (May) Muritok of Centerline, MI; Joy (May) and David Nowick of St. Clair Shores, MI; Christine (May) and Rick Panfil of Elyria, OH. Thirty-three (33) Grandchildren and Thirty-two (32) great grandchildren. As well as many, many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Leonard lived life to its fullest. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He loved family holiday get togethers, seeing his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid football fan, watching weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Whether it was the Lions, Chiefs or the Michigan Wolverines you’d find Leonard and Sharoyn ready for the action.
Per Leonard’s request cremation has taken place. No service will be held. Celebration of Life to be planned at a later date.
