Obituary of Robert Ellsworth Knapp

Robert E. Knapp, age 84, of Midland, died Sunday November 17, 2024 at his home. He was born November 25, 1939 in Midland County to the late Joel and Clarissa (Ross) Knapp. He worked in the construction field and was a member of the Local #1098. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going out to dinner, and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Knapp; his son, Mike Knapp; his grandchildren, Robert and Shannon Knapp, and Wendy and Craig Tripp; his great-grandchildren, Alana Knapp, and Oliver and Daniel Tripp; daughter-in-law, Brenda Knapp; sister, Josephine (Delmer) Toner; brother, Paul (Ruth) Knapp; special friends, Jim and Linda Taylor and Dale and Patricia Harcourt; special nieces, Tina Gates and Shelly Hitsman. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert J. Knapp; siblings, Jeanette Krotzer, Calvin J. Knapp, Cora Jones, Albert Knapp, Andy Knapp, Phyllis Goodemoot, Pamela St. John, Barbara Iafrate, Loretta Conklin, and Leonard Knapp. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Gentiva Hospice Care Chaplain Dan, Toni, Kelsey, Stephanie and Victoria.

  A Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM, November 30, 2024, at Floyd Church of God, 1015 W. Chippewa River Rd., Midland Michigan 48640.
