Obituary of Shirley Ann Walter

Shirley Ann Walter went home to be with her Lord, November 27, 2024 at Stratford Pines Nursing home with her son by her side.  Mrs. Walter was born October 24, 1939 to the late Elizabeth (Reppuhn) and David Scharich.  Shirley was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Bay City.

Mrs. Walter is survived by her son, Gary (Lisa) Walter; daughter-in-law, Jean Walter; her grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly, Melissa (Kyle) Reed, Megan Walter, Michael (Melissa) Walter, Lindsay Walter, and Christopher Walter; great-grandchildren, Paisley and Henry Walter; sister, Lucille (Ted) Hair; and dear friend, Gary Warmbier.  Shirley was predeceased by her parents; husband, Edwin “Eddie” Walter; son, Terrance “Terry” Walter; six brothers; and three sisters.

 At the request of Mrs. Walter, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at Floral Gardens Cemetery for the immediate family, with Pastor Phillip Baerwolf officiating.
