Nancy was called to heaven on Friday, December 13, 2024, after a brief illness, age 92. Nancy Wilma Gidley was born on October 6, 1932, in Saginaw, MI to the late Arthur and Christine (Zarnecki) Gidley.  Nancy was married to Marvin H. (Pete) Cronkright who predeceased her in 1968 and was later married to John W. Dalton who predeceased her in 1987.  Over the years, Nancy held various jobs but cherished her role as Treasurer for the Carrollton Education Foundation for many years where she helped numerous Carrollton students attain their college dreams, as well as, teaching many students Catechism Class at the former St. Josaphat’s parish. Nancy enjoyed reading, watching the Detroit Tigers, golf, swimming, travelling, feeding the birds and especially spending time with her family. Nancy was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish.

Nancy is survived by her children: Brent Cronkright, Shelley (Larry) Petersen, Glen (Kelly) Dalton and step-children: Ralph (Ann) Dalton, Gary Wille, Sue Dalton; Grandchildren: Nick Cronkright, Kyle Cronkright, Kelley (Andy) Rose, Stacey Petersen, Steven Petersen, Zachary (Elizabeth) Dalton, Kylie Dalton, Brenda (David) Goodrow, Jill (Dave) Jaremba, Jodi Dalton, John (Shelly) Dalton, Justin (Anne) Dalton, Joshua Dalton. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and her sister Jackie (Frank) Anjakos. She was predeceased by her parents, son William Cronkright, step-son Jack Dalton, step-daughter JoAnn Wille, granddaughter Linda LeRoux, great-granddaughter Brooke LeRoux and great-grandson Tyler Jaremba.

Honoring Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 11:00am at Saint John Paul II Parish, 469 Shattuck Road, Saginaw, MI 48604. Visitation with the family will be available starting at 10:00am until the time of Mass.
