Sandra Joan LaFevre passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on January 1, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Glen and Helen Thompson (Hughes); Sandra’s life was full of energy with a beautiful spirit and commitment to family and friends that was felt by so many.
In 1960 Sandra married the love of her life, Robert LaFevre. Sandra and Robert were blessed with six children: Mark (Michelle), Lisa (Kevin), Yvette, Susan (Todd), Sharon (Keith) and Deanna (Patrick). They went on to bless her with many grandchildren that she centered her life around. Jessica, Monica, Elise, Melissa, Chris, River, Jacob, Jo Jo, Sarah, Kristin, Jordan, Curtis, Alex, Cindy, Janine, Joshua, Derek, Danielle and Cassandra. She was blessed with so many to love and still managed to make them all feel loved and treasured. She was the matriarch and center of a large wonderful family. Sandra is survived by one sibling Allen (Linda)Thompson.
Sandra was a business owner, fair secretary, clothing store owner and way too early in her life after her husband’s passing, she took over the day to day running of Linabery Products. A challenge she accepted and did with amazing strength and perseverance. She was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Church since moving to the Gladwin area in 1970.
Sandra’s interests were so many as she would try anything once and had such energy for life. So many things she did over the years like knitting, travel, sewing, painting, gardening, hunting, and ceramics. If she was asked, she was always willing to give it a try or go along for the ride.
