Midland, MI

Dorothy Mae Smith, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 at the age of 86 in Midland, Michigan. Dorothy graced the world on March 13, 1938, when she was born in Kalkaska, Michigan to the late Charles and Mary Perry.

She is survived by the love of her life of 53 years, Wyman Bradley Smith Jr.; their children, Dwight Bauder, Cheryl Moon, William (Marla) Bauder, Kimberlie (Peter) Fisher, Dawn (Jim) Thayer, and Mary Durfee; her step-son, Jerrold Alexander; and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Dorothy worked for Captain Nemo's in the 1970's, and then went to work at the Midland Country Club, retiring after 30 years of service. Dorothy enjoyed Bingo, Western Romance Novels, crossword puzzles, and coloring. Dorothy's favorite things were butterflies, elephant's and birds.
