Obituary of Debra Kay Mosher

Debra K. Mosher of Kawkawlin, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, with her family at her side, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in Bay City, Michigan, on April 14, 1957, to the late Donald and Patricia (Buckius) Stroemer.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Beaver, Michigan. 

Deb deeply loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She found joy in the simplest things—a fresh load of sawdust, digging trenches, and a barn full of hay. Her incredible work ethic and zest for life amazed her family every day. Deb will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and the warmth she brought to those around her.  She was active with and was a member of the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA). 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dana (Mosher) and Jim Jaenicke, son and daughter-in-law Matloc Mosher and Brittani Lynne Bertoni, grandchildren: Lane, Carson, Rosalia, Esmaea, Calix, sister and brother-in-law Tammy and John Penkala, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Rick and Jodi Mosher, nieces and nephews: Jenna, Sarah, Bryan, Eric, Sam, Jake, Ken, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell Mosher; her parents, Donald and Patricia Stroemer; father and mother-in-law, Chuck and Sandy Mosher; brother-in-law, Robert Reder; and grandparents.  

The family would like to extend special thanks to her grandson, Carson, for living with her for two years and providing her with loving care during that time. His support was greatly appreciated. 

In accordance with Deb's wishes, cremation has already taken place, and no funeral services will be held. The family appreciates your understanding and support during this time.
