Darlene Marie Saumier, age73, our beloved sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully at Healthsource with family by her side on January 12, 2025.  She was born December 15, 1951 in Saginaw Michigan to the late Louis & Geraldine (Henning) Saumier.

She retired from Saginaw Senior Care in 2013 and also enjoyed her time working at the Dow Event Center.  She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and listening to Elvis and country music.  Her love of the Detroit Tigers was evident because she never missed watching a game on TV.  Her greatest love however, was family gatherings and spontaneous trips with her niece Candy.

She is survived by her brother, Donald (Karen) Saumier; sister, Patricia May; nieces, Candy (Stuart Davis) Kernstock, Tammie Leske, MaryAnn May, and Amy Englehart; her adored great- nephew, Joseph Saumier; a very special friend, Julie Gates; and several great-nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, and brother & sister-in law, Ronald and Mary Ellen Saumier.
