Obituary of Donna Jean Pafford

Donna Jean Pafford, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, at the age of 95 in Bay City, Michigan. Born on July 15, 1929, in Caro, Michigan.  Donna attended Bay City Jr. College for secretarial work, and spent a life time as a homemaker raising children and grandchildren. 
Donna married Wendell Clare Pafford in 1949, predeceasing her after 74 years of marriage.

Donna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jerry Hall and their children Sue and her husband Darrel Foster; Deborah and her husband Joe Weese; and John Hall; son, Rodney and daughter-in-law Sandy Pafford, their children Alistair and wife Elizabeth Pafford, Austin Pafford, and Addison and wife Hannah and daughter Janet Pafford; and a doting great-grandmother to Aiden, Claire, Madeline, Noah, and Arthur.

Throughout her life, Donna was an active participant in the Bay City Rosarians, where her passion for roses blossomed into lifelong friendships and a legacy of beauty that continues to flourish in the community gardens. Her strategic mind and competitive spirit found a perfect outlet in bridge, where she achieved the distinguished title of life time Bridge master, a feat that spoke to her love for the game.

Donna most recently attended St. Luke's United Methodist church where she enjoyed many friendships. As we bid farewell to Donna Jean Pafford, we are reminded of the impact one life can have.
