Obituary of Randal Michael Birchmeier
Please share a memory of Randal to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Randal Michael Birchmeier, known affectionately as Randy to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 65. He was born on May 30, 1959, in Owosso, Michigan.
Randy's life was one marked by love and dedication, most notably to his wife of 25 years, Trudy Birchmeier. Their union was a testament to enduring partnership and mutual respect. He was a cherished step-father to Dani (Rob) Dolan and Justin Kindt, and a proud grandfather to Brayden and Eva Dolan, whose sports games he never missed and whose achievements were his greatest pride.
He is survived by his brothers, Clifford (Brenda), Daniel (Laurie), Jeffery (Trish), Paul (Susan), and Scott (Amy) Birchmeier; his sister, Debbie (Dave) Thelen; his extended family of many nieces and nephews who will remember him as a gentle and loving figure. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marion Birchmeier, and his sister, Jean Walters.
As the owner of Birchmeier Poured Walls for over 30 years, Randy was respected for his work ethic and admired for his skill. His business was not just a means of livelihood but a canvas where he painted his legacy of hard work and integrity. Randy's contributions to his field and the bonds he formed with his colleagues and clients alike will be remembered fondly.
He was happiest spending time up north with his family and friends. Enjoying everything from boat rides on Crystal Lake, canoeing down the river, golfing, fishing, and just having a cold Bud-Light on the porch.
Randy was a loving, gentle, and handyman. His ability to fix anything (because if Papa couldn't fix it, we were all screwed), his quiet strength, and his unwavering kindness defined his character.
As we say goodbye to Randy, we celebrate a life well lived to the fullest and the simple pleasures that make a life worth living. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the stories that will be told. Rest in peace, dear Randy, until we meet again.
