Obituary of Joann Dunker

Joann Mary Dunker, 85, passed away October 12, 2014. She was born on September 13, 1929 to the late Martin and Hattie Nuerminger, in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw. She was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and Peace Ladies' Guild. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Earl Dunker; by six children, Steve (Dorcas) Dunker, Christine (Ron) Schultz, Karl (Sherry) Dunker, Marilynn Dunker, Bruce Dunker, and Kay Dunker; and by four grandchildren, Sara Schultz, Bethany (Garet) Ellis, Nathan Schultz, and Katrina (Luke) Garrison; and one great-child, Norah Joann Ellis. She also leaves a sister Kathleen Platte and two nephews, Paul Platte and Jim Platte. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Ave., Saginaw, Michigan.
