Obituary of Leroy E. Badour

Badour, Leroy "Lee" Edward Roscommon, MI Leroy Edward Badour went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on¬¬ Saturday December 6, 2014 at the age of 72, after a brief battle with lung cancer. He was born March 10, 1942 in Midland . Leroy was the fourth child born to the late Alfred and Beatrice ( Taylor ) Badour. On July 9, 1993 he married Juanita Wright. Leroy was a proud Vietnam veteran. After serving nine years in the Army he returned to Vietnam for a year, employed by Lear Jet as a helicopter maintenance supervisor. He started his own trucking business, working in Michigan and Florida . In his younger years he built several homes, and three small grocery stores. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, watching the Detroit Lions and Tigers games, traveling all over the US and wintering in Texas and Arizona and spending time with his family. Leroy will be sadly missed by his wife, Juanita; sons, Chris Badour of Hauppauge, NY, Lee Badour of Fort Wayne IN; daughter, Teresa Rogers of Yukon, OK; stepson, Scott (Dawn) Moe; three grandchildren, Allen, Shelby, and Bubby Rogers; and two step grandchildren Jonathan and Valorie Moe. He is also survived by three brothers: Jerry (Judy) Badour of Canton, Randy (Jamie) Badour of Farwell, Jeff Badour of Midland; seven sisters: Rose Bush (Ron Lasco) of Midland, Jan Gorz of Beverly Hills, FL, Marlene (Jeff) Johnson of Franklin TN, Julie Badour of Naples FL, Linda (Ken) Feusse of Fenton, Cynthia (Mike) McLaughlin of Freeland, Suzanne (Ronald) Jackson of League City, TX and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Patrick, granddaughter Jessie Rogers and brother, Dennis Badour. Cremation has taken place per Leroy's request and a Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday December 10 at 11 at Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church in Houghton Lake, MI. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
