Obituary of Penelope Ann Nelms

Nelms, Penelope St. Helen, MI Passed away on February 11, 2015, 68 years of age. Born on February 17, 1946 to the late Robert and Joyce Redburn in Ann Arbor, MI. She was a member of The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed Traveling, cooking, arts and crafts, and Nascar, her favorite driver was Dale Earnheardt Jr. #88. She is survived by: spouse Melvin E. Nelms, children Kimberly Smith Ruiz, Walter Smith, Pamela Smith Parrish and Trisha Smith Torres, grandchildren Christina Hughes Doty, Shaina Hughes, Casey Prine, Maddison and Riley Smith, Paige and Rianne Leslie, and Anmarie and Alissa Torres, 7 great-grandchildren, siblings Lynn Redburn, Robert Redburn and Nancy Redburn Anderson. She was predeceased by her brother Timothy Redburn. A life celebration will be celebrated on February 21, 2015, 10:00am to 2:00pm, at the American Legion Post #416 in St. Helen, MI with Chaplain Randy Brokaw officiating.
