Robert (Bob) Wasta VanEver, 67, of Midland, passed away on February 16, 2015 at Midland Hospital. He was born in Flint, Michigan on June 6, 1947, the son of the late Carl and Adeline (Huber) VanEver. Bob grew up in Gladwin, MI; He was a house painter for most of his life. He enjoyed roller skating, water skiing, making jewelry boxes (he won a few first place ribbons at the fair) and his family. In his later years he loved building helicopters, putting puzzles together, beading projects and cross stitch (with the help of several people at Washington Woods). He will be remembered for getting Amish eggs for some of the residents at Washington Woods. He was a good friend to many and will be missed. Bob is survived by four sisters, Janet (Jerry) Cassiday, Rosalyn Young, Joyce (Richard) Wahl, Vikki Mitchell, sister-in-law Peggy VanEver and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth VanEver, two brothers-in-law, Joe Young and Mitch Mitchell. Also by one nephew, Kenny VanEver. We would like to give a special thank you to Janice and Sharon for their friendship and devotion to Bob. Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held at a later date.
