Obituary of Barbara Schaefer

Schaefer, Barbara Jean Midland, Michigan Barbara passed away on March 8, 2015 at the age of 79. She was born on March 18, 1935 to the late Kenneth and Violet Marie (Murphy) Cobb of Midland, Michigan. Barbara was a homemaker who enjoyed a variety of crafts including sewing and ceramics. She was a former 4-H leader and a former board member of the Midland Horse and Saddle Club. Barbara also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Gordon Lyle Schaefer, son Patrick (Christine) Schaefer, son Douglas (Deborah) Schaefer, and daughter Pamela Schaefer. She adored her grandchildren Nicole, Chene, Justin, and Derrick Schaefer, Jenna (Schaefer) Bodus and Jeff Bodus. Barbara has one great grandchild Christian Bodus. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14th at 2:00pm at Tendercare, 4900 Hedgewood Drive, Midland, Michigan, with Pastor Mark Beers officiating. The family would like to thank A&D Home Healthcare, Hospice, and Tendercare for the excellent care Barbara received in her final days.
