Obituary of Donna R. Taylor

Taylor, Donna Rita (Rautenberg), beloved wife, mum, granny and friend to many, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2015, at her home in Saginaw, Mich. Donna was born on September 27, 1932 to the late Richard and Gertrude Rautenberg. She graduated from Saginaw High, class of 1950. Donna married the love of her life, Glenn Taylor, on Valentine's Day, 1953. She was employed at Manufacture Life Insurance and later worked and retired from Wohlfeil's Hardware. Donna had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She instilled a deep faith in her family and her legacy of devotion lives on in them. She was a gifted poet who made family occasions special with cards filled with her poems. Donna had a radiant smile that could brighten anyone's day. She is survived by her husband of 62 years and their three children, Steve (Fay) Taylor of Freeland, Valerie (Mark) Gart of Newport Beach, Calif., and Lisa (Bill) Brennan of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by four granddaughters, AuBree (Kyle Bugg) Taylor of Grand Rapids, Alexandria Harley-Gart of Seattle, Wash., Olivia Trautner of Houghton and Amelia Trautner who lives with her Granny and Papa. Lastly, she is survived by her dear, life-long friends, Madelyn Rabe, Nancy Dalton, Marlene Bennett, Fran Swartzendruber and JoAnne Schuette. Friends and family may gather at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Saginaw, MI 48609 for visitation on Tuesday, April 14 at 10 am, funeral mass at 11 am, luncheon immediately after. Following Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place.
