I'll always remember the summers we spent together in Florida, eating marshmallows and hanging out poolside. It was in your care that I learned how to swim, ride a bike, and even cook.
One summer when I was around six years old, you let me help out with dinner by making mashed potatoes. Though in reality they came out super lumpy, you swore that they were the best damn thing you've ever tasted. You just had a way about you that made others feel good about themselves. Thank you for always being my number one fan, and for giving me confidence in the little things.
It saddens me to learn that you passed a few days ago. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to say goodbye.
I love you. RIP nanny.
Love,
Danielle
