Obituary of Mark M. Walkowiak

Walkowiak, Mark M. Fairview, MI Mark passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the age of 63. He was born in Bay City Michigan September 8, 1951 to the late Eugene and Elizabeth (Birkner) Walkowiak. He married the former Jeanne Ann Wynne on December 30, 1976 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, and she survives him. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. Mark was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed clay shooting, hunting, fishing, and boating. He also loved cooking and was especially known for his Hungarian style chicken noodle soup, chop suey, and chili. Surviving are his wife Jeanne Ann; sister, Marianne Miller of Texas; sisters and brothers in law, Diane M. (Ned) Bryant of Essexville MI & Claude "Bud" (Ashley) Wynne Jr. of Essexville MI. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a great-great-nephew, and his loving companion "Molly" He was predeceased by his mother and father in law, Claude M. and Rita M. Wynne and his brother David Walkowiak. A Memorial Service will be held on June 29, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Church of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish at 11 AM. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate. The family will receive friends at church prior to the funeral beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Thaddeus Parish.
