Obituary of Frances "Pokie" Wiergowski

Wiergowski, Frances "Pokie" Wisner, MI Frances "Pokie" Wiergowski, age 65, of Wisner passed away in the early morning of June 19, 2015. She was born the daughter of the late Ernest and Hazel (Whidden) Nitz on October 26, 1949. On June 23, 1979 she married Darrell Wiergowski at the Wisner Methodist Church. She retired from EDS in Saginaw in June of 2013. Surviving are her husband Darrell, and their children, Christine (Duane) Penshorn, Patricia (Roger) McWilliams, and Jenny Letson; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brandus Werth, Naomi Penshorn, Cody and Kenzie McWilliams, Jordan Hessler, Jacob Wiergowski, and Caleb Letson. Also surviving are her mother-in-law Eloise (Turk) Wiergowski; brothers and sisters, Sharon (Elmer Jr.) Schumacher, Nancy (Tom) McGrath, Patrick Nitz, Randall (Christine) Nitz, Jenny Nitz (Rich Spencer), Larry Wiergowski, Debbie (Randy) Prime, Penny (Randy) Casteller; many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, sister Vera (Art) Engelhardt, Cynthia (Don) Horiski; and father-in-law, Ralph Wiergowski. She enjoyed hunting and spending time up north at the cabin, spending time with her family, playing Bingo, and visiting the casino. There will be no memorial service at this time.
